Business Administration Major
About Me

I am a business development intern at a utility company where I analyze the financial condition of their current and past activities. Public Service Electric and Gas is a multi-faceted company that manages a billion-dollar budget. My focus is to study what we have done in the past; to see what we can do in the future to better reach our goals.
My background as a student at Towson University has prepared me for this role in a Fortune 500 company. As a senior studying Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics, I have learned how to be an active listener and effectively communicate in a business setting. I also studied how to read and understand financial statements and other important financial documents to see what factors influence business decisions.
Working in such a complex company has taught me to never stop asking questions. Everyday, myself and other employees learn something new about how the business works. In a utility company where we handle emergencies and extreme weather conditions, no days are ever the same. This is a thriving environment for someone like me who is eager to learn. It can take years to fully understand the process of a utility company, and as a returning intern, I feel more confident speaking up and showcasing my ideas now that I have a better understanding of how the company operates.
I am always interested in challenging the way things are done because often times there is a more efficient way to do it. I am determined to learn and further develop my skills to be as beneficial to the company as possible. Interning has helped me apply what I have learned in school, gain experience in my field, and network with other interns and successful business professionals.
